Chers usagers des données ouvertes du SMC,
Dans le but d'améliorer continuellement nos services en matière de prévisions météorologiques et environnementales, Environnement et changement climatique Canada, en collaboration
avec Services Partagés Canada, migrera vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique le mardi 14 avril 2026, à partir de 12 UTC.
Cette nouvelle solution de calcul à haute-performance se distingue notamment par une augmentation significative de la capacité GPU afin de soutenir le développement des approches
innovatives basées sur l’intelligence artificielle. Aussi, elle se caractérise par une optimisation de la croissance des ressources CPU et de stockage, afin d’améliorer des performances par un facteur d’environ 1,7 fois par rapport à l’infrastructure précédente.
De telles mises à niveau sont essentielles afin de fournir une amélioration continue des services de prévisions numériques du temps et de l’environnement à la population canadienne,
aux agences gouvernementales et autres partenaires.
Bien que nous n’anticipions pas de problème technique majeur,
nous invitons nos usagers à nous signaler tout enjeu potentiel suite à cette migration, via l'adresse

Dear MSC Open Data users,
In order to continuously improve our weather and environmental forecasting services, Environment and Climate Change Canada, in collaboration with Shared Services Canada, will migrate to a
new high-performance computing infrastructure
on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, starting at 12:00 UTC.
This new high-performance computing solution
stands out particularly for its
significantly increased GPU capacity to support the development of innovative approaches based on artificial intelligence. It also features optimized scaling of CPU and storage resources, improving performance
by a factor of approximately 1.7 compared to the previous infrastructure.
Such upgrades are essential to ensure the continuous improvement of numerical weather and environmental forecasting services for the Canadian public, government agencies, and other partners.
Although we do not anticipate any major technical issues,
we invite our users to report any potential problems resulting from this migration via the email address
