Dans le cadre du projet de renouvellement des radars du SMC (*), un nouveau radar Doppler de bande S, Silver Star (CASSS), équipé de la technologie de double polarisation, a été installé en Colombie-Britannique. As part of the MSC Radar Renewal Project (*), a new S-band Doppler radar, Silver Star (CASSS), with dual polarization technology, has been installed in British Columbia. It is the latest S-band radar to be installed this year, the 28th of 32 to be deployed since the project began.

As a reminder, please note that one of the improvements related to these new radars is that the products/data are available every 6 minutes rather than every 10 minutes. The range of the Doppler has also been extended from 113 km to 240 km.
