Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,

Suite aux enjeux de performance d'accès aux données du Datamart du SMC, rapportés à plusieurs reprises au cours de la dernière année, il me fait plaisir de vous annoncer que nous allons bénéficier d’ici les prochains mois d’une augmentation significative de la bande passante vers nos serveurs.

 

En attendant, je tiens à vous rappeler l’existence du serveur alternatif HPFX (*) qui dispose d’une très large bande passante.

 

Par ailleurs,  je me permets de rappeler avec insistance l’accès privilégié à nos données via le service de notification utilisant le protocole AMQP ("Advanced Message Queuing Protocol") :

Ce service opérationnel, permet aux usagers d’être avisés de la disponibilité des produits sur le Datamart du SMC dès que ceux-ci sont publiés et par ailleurs de les recevoir automatiquement, ce qui diminue de façon très significative les enjeux de bande passante autant chez les usagers que vers nos serveurs.

 

Merci à tous ceux qui ont déjà migré leurs applications, nous apprécions grandement votre collaboration pour le bénéfice de tous, notamment dans le contexte actuel de la pandémie au COVID-19 qui ajoute une pression supplémentaire sur la bande passante due aux changements de nos méthodes de travail (télétravail).

Dear MSC Datamart users,

 

Following the performance issues with access to MSC Datamart data,  reported several times over the past year, I am pleased to announce that over the next few months we will benefit from a significant increase in bandwidth to our servers.

 

In the meantime, I would like to remind you the alternative HPFX server (*) , which has a very large bandwidth.

 

Furthermore, I would like to remind you of the privileged access to our data through the notification service using the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP):

This operational service allows users to be notified of available products as they're published, but also to receive them automatically, which significantly reduces the bandwidth requirements for both users and our servers.

 

Thanks to all those who have already migrated their applications, we greatly appreciate your collaboration for the benefit of all, especially in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which adds additional pressure on bandwidth due to changes in our working methods (telework).
