Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,

Tel qu’indiqué le 13 janvier 2021 (*), les données du Système à haute résolution de prévision déterministe (SHRPD) à 2.5km sur la grille polaire stéréographique (**) seront retirées du Datamart du SMC le 22 février 2023. Une nouvelle annonce sera envoyée si cette date venait à changer.

Il s’agit ici à la fois du domaine continental et des sous domaines Est, Ouest, Maritimes, et des Prairies, le domaine Nord expérimental sur la grille polaire stéréographique va demeurer disponible pour le moment.

Je vous rappelle que les données du SHRPD à 2.5km de résolution sont disponibles depuis janvier 2021 sur une grille lat-lon tournée couvrant tout le domaine continental (sans masque), à cette adresse :

https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_hrdps/continental/2.5km/grib2/

Je vous invite dès à présent à migrer vers ce domaine plus proche de la grille native du modèle. Aussi, notez que ces données contiennent les nouveaux éléments du temps sur grille tel qu’annoncé en début de semaine (***).

Finalement, les usagers des sous domaines cités plus hauts sont invités à utiliser notre API GeoMet du SMC pour télécharger uniquement les régions d’intérêt pour leurs applications plutôt que le domaine au complet. Voir la documentation ci-dessous pour ces services géospatiaux :

Dear MSC Datamart users,

As indicated on January 13, 2021 (*), the High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System (HRDPS) data at 2.5km on the polar stereographic grid (**) will be removed from the MSC Datamart on February 22, 2023. A new announcement will be sent if this date changes.

This applies to data on the Continental domain, as well as the East, West, Maritimes, and Prairies sub-domains. Note that data on the experimental Northern domain (“north” folder) on the polar stereographic grid will remain available for the time being.

I also wish to remind you that HRDPS data at 2.5km resolution are available since January 2021 on a rotated lat-lon grid covering the entire continental domain (without mask), at the following address:

https://dd.weather.gc.ca/model_hrdps/continental/2.5km/grib2/

I invite you to migrate to this newer domain, which is closer to the native grid of the model. Also, please note that these data contain the new Weather Elements on Grid data (WEonG), as announced at the beginning of the week (***).

Finally, users of the above sub-domains are invited to use our MSC GeoMet API to download only the regions of interest for their applications rather than the entire domain. See the documentation below for these geospatial services:
