Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,

J’aimerais vous informer qu’une mise à jour du Système global de prévision déterministe d'onde de tempête (SGPDOT) sera installée aujourd’hui, jeudi 27 juillet à compter de la passe 12Z. Un mode barocline léger et des effets de glace de mer provenant du Système global de prévision océan-glace SGPOG (*) et du Système global de prévision déterministe SGPD (**) seront ajoutés. Le mode barocline léger améliorera les marées (en particulier sur l’Asie du sud-est et au Japon) et l’onde de tempête là ou les effets baroclines sont importants (en particulier dans les Tropiques). L’ajout des effets de glace réduira la surestimation de l’onde de tempête dans l’Arctique.

Dear MSC Datamart users,

I would like to inform you that an update to the Global Deterministic Storm Surge Prediction System (GDSPS) will be installed today, Thursday July 27, with the 12UTC run. A light baroclinic mode and sea ice effects from the Global Ocean-Ice Prediction System GIOPS (*) and the Global Deterministic Prediction System GDPS (**) will be added. The light baroclinic mode will improve tides (especially over Southeast Asia and Japan) and storm surge where baroclinic effects are important (especially in the Tropics). The inclusion of sea ice effects will reduce the overestimation of storm surge in the Arctic.
