https://lists.ec.gc.ca/pipermail/dd_info/2017-December/000246.html
Veuillez prendre note que cette mise en oeuvre est prévue pour le
mardi 17 avril 2018.

===============================
Dear MSC Datamart users,
Please find below an update of the announcement sent on December
1st 2017, regarding significant changes to the Great Lakes wave
data, related to a new version of the Regional Deterministic
Wave Prediction System (RDWPS):
https://lists.ec.gc.ca/pipermail/dd_info/2017-December/000246.html
We would like to inform you that this implementation is now
planned for Tuesday April 17th, 2018.
The associated documentation will be available at the address:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/doc/rdwps/README_RDWPS.txt
As a reminder, four new regional domains will be available at 1km
resolution (0.009 x 0.0124 degrees), at the following addresses:
* http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/great_lakes/erie/grib2/
* http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/great_lakes/huron-michigan/grib2/
* http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/great_lakes/ontario/grib2/
* http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/great_lakes/superior/grib2/
Lake Michigan will be added to the regional domain covering Lake
Huron and the associated directory will be changed accordingly.
The forecasts on these domains will be available hourly for the
00Z, 06Z, 12Z and 18Z runs, up to 48 hours.
As a reminder, a data sample is available on the MSC Datamart test
data repository here:
http://dd.alpha.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/
Additionally, and as mentioned in the first announcement, the
availability of the new Global Deterministic Wave Prediction
System (GDWPS), available since February 12th, 2018, has brought
improved forecasts but also leads to the decommissioning of
the current oceanic regional wave systems, with the exception of
the Gulf of St Lawrence domain.
Hence, the Arctic, North Atlantic and North Pacific domains
will then be removed from the MSC Datamart.
NOTE: The documentation currently available on the web site
: https://weather.gc.ca/grib/grib2_RDWPS_e.html
, will only be updated in the next few months. In the
meantime, the official documentation of the wave systems is the
one on Datamart at the following address:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/doc/
I remain available for any questions. An update will be sent if
the implementation date changes.
All the best,
Sandrine
