Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,

J’aimerais attirer votre attention sur une mise à jour des matrices SCRIBE à venir autour du 11 janvier 2021 (date à confirmer) entrainant le retrait des balises d’alerte dans le Meteocode (*) des fichiers CMML et les bulletins FPCN (**).

Dans un désir de réduction de duplication d’information, ce changement est motivé par la disponibilité de ces messages d’alertes à la fois dans les fichier XML des prévisions météorologique par ville, citypage_weather (***) et les fichiers d'avertissements météorologiques XML (****) dans le format du Protocole d'Alerte Commun (PAC), sous une forme officielle et plus complète puisqu’on y inclut les risques et impacts.

Par conséquent, voici les mises à jour à venir :

Meteocode : la balise XML "warning-list" sera toujours vide dans les fichiers CMML

Bulletins FPCN : les produits à court terme ne disposeront plus de la ligne "AVERTISSEMENT XXXXX EN VIGUEUR" pour les zones qui ont des alertes. Le reste du produit sera identique, c'est-à-dire que les quantités et les descriptions (brouillard, froid extrême, etc.) continueront à décrire les conditions attendues.

Exemple :

Dans un fichier Meteocode de type « TRANSMIT.FPNT12.12.02.1800Z.xml », on peut trouver une séquence telle que:

Le changement planifié entrainera la suppression de la ligne en gras et la balise warning-list sera vide…

Si on considère un exemple de prévision publique dans un bulletin FPCN, la ligne en gras sera aussi retirée :

Dear MSC Datamart users,

I would like to draw your attention to an update of the SCRIBE matrices coming around January 11, 2021 (date to be confirmed) resulting in the removal of alert tags in the Meteocode (*) CMML files and FPCN bulletins (**).

In a desire to reduce duplication of information, this change is motivated by the availability of these alert messages in both the XML city weather forecast files (***) and the XML weather warning files (****) in the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) format, in an official and more complete form since it includes risks and impacts.

Therefore, here are the upcoming updates:

Meteocode : the “warning-list” XML tag will always be empty in the CMML files

FPCN bulletins : The short range products will no longer have the “XXXXX WARNING IN EFFECT” line for areas that have alerts. The rest of the product will be identical meaning amounts and descriptions (fog, extreme cold, etc.) will still describe the expected conditions
