=================================
Dear MSC Datamart users,
In the context of the MSC radar renewal project, a new dual-polarization S-band Doppler radar (CASFW) has been installed in Foxwarren (Eastern Saskatchawan/Western Manitoba).
Please note that one of the improvements related to this new
radar is that the products/data will be available every 6 minutes
rather than every 10 minutes. The range of the reflectivities has
been extended from 240 km to 300 km and that of Doppler from 113
km to 250 km.
The GIF images generated from the CAPPI AND PRECIP-ET products every 6 minutes are now available respectively at the addresses:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/radar/CAPPI/GIF/CASFW/
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/radar/PRECIPET/GIF/CASFW/
Finally, please note that the images based on the PRECIP-ET
24-hour accumulations will be added later (announcement to come).
We would also like to mention that other new products related to
the dual polarization will be gradually made available. We will
advise you of these deployments in due course.
For your information, the details regarding the MSC radar renewal
project are available here:

Have a nice week-end,
Sandrine
