Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,

Dans le cadre d’un plan de modernisation du Service Météorologique Canadien (SMC), de nouveaux éléments du temps sur grille ("WEonG") basés sur le Système à haute résolution de prévision déterministe (SHRPD) ont été développés afin de répondre aux besoins des différents programmes de prévision du SMC (public, maritime, aviation, qualité de l’air, etc). Ces nouvelles données sont générées à partir des sorties brutes du modèle et post-traitées à l’aide de diverses approches diagnostiques, décrites en détails dans ce document :

Ces nouvelles données sont disponibles depuis ce mardi 30 août 12Z, sur la grille lat-lon tournée, à cette adresse:

https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_hrdps/continental/2.5km/grib2/

Les fichiers suivent la nomenclature suivante afin de les distinguer des données résultant du modèle:

{YYYYMMDD}T{HH}Z_MSC_HRDPS-WEonG_{VAR}_Sfc_RLatLon0.0225_PT{hhh}H.grib2

Dear MSC Datamart users,

As part of a modernization plan of the Canadian Meteorological Service (MSC), new Weather Elements on the Grid ("WEonG") based on the High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System (HRDPS) have been developed to meet the needs of the various MSC forecasting programs (public, marine, aviation, air quality, etc). These new data are generated from the raw model outputs and post-processed using various diagnostic approaches, described in detail in this paper:

These new data are now available, starting from Tuesday, August 30^th12Z, on the rotated lat-lon grid at this address:

The files follow the following nomenclature to distinguish them from the other model data:
