Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,

Veuillez prendre note qu’une mise à jour des données des éléments du temps sur grille (ETsurG) est prévue ce jeudi 13 avril, passe de 12Z :

· Changement des noms des paramètres GRIB dans les noms de fichiers pour une meilleure interprétation (ex: `20230413T18Z_MSC_HRDPS-WEonG_CSNOW_Sfc_RLatLon0.0225_PT012H.grib2` deviendra `20230413T18Z_MSC_HRDPS-WEonG_PROBSN_Sfc_RLatLon0.0225_PT012H.grib2` , pour la probabilité de neige). Une liste détaillée des changements de noms est disponible en attaché.

· Mise à jour de l’encodage GRIB de certains paramètres (ex : l’unité `m` remplacera `1.e-06` pour la quantité conditionnelle de précipitation liquide)

Ce changement concerne les 3 systèmes SHRPD (données opérationnelles), SRPD (données expérimentales) et SGPD (données expérimentales).

Compte tenu du statut opérationnel des éléments du temps sur grille du SHRPD, de nouveaux fichiers seront produits et cohabiteront avec les fichiers actuels pendant une période d’environ 6 mois (jusqu’à mi-octobre 2023, date précise à venir) afin de faciliter la migration des applications de nos usagers. Par contre, le changement est effectif dès aujourd’hui pour le SRPD et le SGPD (les nouveaux fichiers remplacent les anciens) , ces données étant expérimentales.

La documentation (*) sera mise à jour en conséquence.

Nous espérons que cela n’aura pas trop d’impact dans vos applications et que ces changements seront utiles.

Dear MSC Datamart users,

Please note that an update of the weather elements of the grid (WEonG) is scheduled for this Thursday, April 13, 12Z :

· GRIB parameter names changed in file names for better interpretation (e.g. `20230413T18Z_MSC_HRDPS-WEonG_CSNOW_Sfc_RLatLon0.0225_PT012H.grib2` will become `20230413T18Z_MSC_HRDPS-WEonG_PROBSN_Sfc_RLatLon0.0225_PT012H.grib2` , for snow probability). A detailed list of name changes is available in the attachment.

· Update of the encoding of some parameters (ex: the unit `m` will replace `1.e-06` for the conditional amount of liquid precipitation)

This change affects the 3 systems HRDPS (operational data), RDPS (experimental data) and GDPS (experimental data).

Due to the operational status of the HRDPS weather elements on the grid, new files will be produced and will cohabit with the current files for a period of about 6 months (until mid-October 2023, exact date to come) in order to facilitate the migration of our users' applications. On the other hand, the change is effective as of today for the RDPS and the GDPS (the new files replace the old ones), these data being experimental.

The documentation (*) will be updated accordingly.
