Bonjour,
Le radar de McGill (Montréal) est en panne depuis samedi matin 6
décembre, causant l'arrêt de production des images pour ce radar.
Cet arrêt de service affecte les usagers du Datamart qui utilisent
les images radar se trouvant dans ces répertoires:
L’opérateur du radar,
l’université McGill, n’est pas en mesure en ce moment de fournir
un estimé précis du moment de retour en service, mais a laissé
entendre clairement qu’il s’agit d’une panne majeure qui pourrait
s’étendre sur des semaines ou des mois.
Comme solution temporaire, nous recommandons aux usagers
d'utiliser les images des radars canadiens de Franktown (XFT) et de
Villeroy (WVY), qui couvrent eux aussi la région de Montréal. Une
attention accrue sera apportée au support de ces deux radars pendant
la période de panne du radar de McGill.
Nous nous excusons pour ces problèmes et nous vous aviserons de tout
changement significatif de la situation via cette liste de
diffusion.

Good day,
The McGill (Montreal) radar has been down since the morning of
Saturday December 6th, with the result that image production for
this radar has been halted. This service outage affects Datamart
users who access the radar images found in the following
directories:
The operator of the radar, McGill University, cannot offer a precise
time estimate for a return to service, but has clearly let it be
known that this is a major outage which could extend over weeks if
not months.
As a temporary measure, we recommend to users to use imagery from
the Canadian radar sites at Franktown (XFT) and Villeroy (WVY), both
of which cover the Montreal region. Increased attention will be
paid to support for these two radars during the period of the McGill
radar outage.
We apologize for the inconvenience as a result of this problem and
we will advise you of any significant change in the situation via
this mailing list.
