(English follows)
Chers usagers du Datamart
du SMC,
Veuillez noter qu’à
compter du 4 août 2020 (date à confirmer), l’élément
MSLP (Mean Sea Level Pressure), sera retiré temporairement
des fichiers « minute » SWOB (*) disponibles sur le
Datamart du SMC à l’adresse :
https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/observations/swob-ml
applications. N’hésitez pas à me contacter pour toute question
ou demande d’information supplémentaire.
Bonne journée et prenez
soin de vous.
Sandrine

====================
Dear MSC Datamart users,
Please note that as of August 4, 2020 (date
to be confirmed), the MSLP (Mean Sea Level Pressure) element
will be temporarily removed from the SWOB (*) minute files
available on the MSC Datamart at :
https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/observations/swob-ml
Note that for stations that report minutely
observations, this element is not observed but calculated from
other observations such as pressure, temperature over the last
12 hours or elevation. We’re working on making the derivation of
minutely MSLP more efficient and will notify you when it’s ready
to be re-introduced into the minutely SWOB files for MSC surface
stations.
In the meantime, this item will still be
available in the hourly files.
To illustrate this change, you will find
attached a file reporting minutely observations at the CAAW
station (SHEARWATER RCS) with the MSLP derived element as it is
currently found on the MSC Datamart (CAAW-AUTO-minute-swob.xml)
and another one without this element
(CAAW-AUTO-minute-swob-wo-MSLP.xml), as it will be available as
of August 4th. An hourly file is also available in which the
MSLP element appears as previously announced
(CAAW-AUTO-swob.xml).
We apologize for any impact this change may
have on your applications. Please do not hesitate to contact me
if you have any questions or require additional information.
Have a nice day, take care.
