Hello DFO GPSC users,
Please be aware that on December 12, 2023, access to Ubuntu 18.04 on GPSC will be closed to most, if not all, DFO users.
More specifically, on December 12:
* inter-dfo-ubuntu1804.science.gc.ca will be shut down. No one will be able to connect to it after December 12.
* access to the Ubuntu 18.04 job and vis images (registry.maze.science.gc.ca/ssc-hpcs/generic-job:ubuntu18.04 and
registry.maze.science.gc.ca/ssc-hpcs/generic-job:ubuntu18.04-interactive) will be blocked to all DFO
users except users from the ENAV and DPNM groups.
If you do not belong to the ENAV or DPNM groups and you currently use the inter-dfo-ubuntu1804 interactive container or run Ubuntu 18.04 jobs,
please migrate to Ubuntu 20.04 or Ubuntu 22.04 as soon as possible.
If you have difficulties migrating off of Ubuntu 18.04, please notify your DFO group representative and
dfo.hpccoordinators-coordonnateurschp.mpo@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.

Bonjour les utilisateurs de GPSC de DFO,
Veuillez prendre note que l'accès à Ubuntu 18.04 sur GPSC sera fermé pour la plupart, sinon la totalité, des utilisateurs de DFO le 12 décembre, 2023.
Plus spécifiquement, le 12 décembre:
* inter-dfo-ubuntu1804.science.gc.ca sera fermé. Personne ne pourra s'y connecter après le 12 décembre.
* l'accès aux images de job et vis (registry.maze.science.gc.ca/ssc-hpcs/generic-job:ubuntu18.04 et
registry.maze.science.gc.ca/ssc-hpcs/generic-job:ubuntu18.04-interactive) seront bloqués pour tous les utilisateurs de DFO
hormis les utilisateurs des groupes ENAV et DPNM.
Si vous n'êtes pas des groupes ENAV ou DPNM et vous utilisez le conteneur interactif inter-dfo-ubuntu1804 ou vous roulez des jobs Ubuntu 18.04,
veuillez migrer à Ubuntu 20.04 ou Ubuntu 22.04 aussitôt que possible.
Si vous rencontrez des difficultés à migrer de Ubuntu 18.04, veuillez notifier votre représentant de groupe DFO et
dfo.hpccoordinators-coordonnateurschp.mpo@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.
