We hope you’re doing well. As co-leads of the Evaluation Working Group (WG3) of the North American Vegetation Fire and Smoke Pollution Warning and Advisory System (NA VFSP-WAS), we are reaching out to confirm the current membership list provided by the project leaders and to invite you to a group meeting in January 2026.

 The topics planned for the upcoming meeting, aligned with our group’s objectives, include:

• Suggested verification metrics
• Plots and statistics for discussion
• Selection of observational datasets for incorporation
• Model variables to be evaluated
• Limitations and uncertainties to consider
• Evaluation of the AI model
