Background

Since Nov 2023, we have had several cases where the Marine Weather Statement (FQ20 CYQX) was not translated due to parsing error(s).  The French product did not reach users.

Each error was caused by a specific parsing error.   And so, a script was written to catch and notify various people (including Translation Bureau) of these specific parsing errors.  Within the script, we wanted to use our EC.F PNDA PMSM / NPBD MWSP F.EC  distribution list (DL) to notify our marine team.    But it was revealed during Acceptance Testing that our DL would not work because it is only visible internally.      

The script needs an email address that is visible *externally* outside of MSC  (the reason I am sending this email from my Gmail).

A new DL called   National_Marine_Wx_Services   was created.

The email address is:    National_Marine_Wx_Services@comm.collab.science.gc.ca

Notes:

• A bilingual email address is not needed because only the script will be using it.
• Our Marine Team will "own" this new DL.  But only SSC can make changes.   If any changes are needed to modify the members of the DL, a request must be sent to SSC.
