Hi All, Ivana and I have started a document describing the NA VFSP-WAS Evaluation Working Group (WG3) plans for 2026 to recommend verification metrics for smoke forecasting based on our discussion last month. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NM_tiB6HnLbd5w4V_NC-zakQmBdkVW6U5Uo02... There are a number of spots where we added "needs further investigation by the team", so if you would like to volunteer to research and add further information into this document that would be great. This will be a working document for this year, so the draft is started now and as we find out more information to further our plan over the next year, we will update this document. So feel free to volunteer for something to work on over the next several months as you have time. You all now have commenting privileges, please add comments or suggested updates and we will discuss this document further in our upcoming meeting next week.
