Hello Ting-Yang,
This is very timely for us as we have just submitted - today - our first request for
ThinLinc to start using VIS! We had previously not been using it because our AI work was
almost entirely Python-based. However, we are currently exploring agentic coding and
looking to leverage VIS, and likely the GPU accelerator. Ou planned usage will likely be
general interactive work – we want to be able to implement AI-powered experimental
development work (more to follow on how frequent, etc.).
Thanks for keeping us up to date on the ongoing review of services.

Hello,
As you may know, we are currently reviewing our services and would appreciate your
feedback regarding GPU usage on the Visualization (VIS) nodes of the Science and
Collaboration cluster.
We would like to better understand how these resources are being used:
1. Do you use the VIS nodes?
2. If so, do you primarily use them for the desktop environment (for example, file
navigation, visualization, or general interactive work)?
3. Do you use GPU acceleration on the VIS nodes?
4. If so, how frequently do you use GPU acceleration?
