Changes to the Datamart Notification Service / Changements au Service de notification du Datamart

Dear MSC Datamart users,
We extend our thanks to users who started using the experimental AMQP
Notification Service to access MSC Datamart content. This experimental
service was recently announced:

Please be advised we will be making a minor but unavoidable technical
change to the service. This will require users to make a small change in
the dd_subscribe.py script. In order to avoid an interruption in the
receipt of notifications, please carry out the following simple
modification at the date and time specified below and restart your AMQP
client.
The variable
self.exchange = 'cmc'
must be altered to
self.exchange = 'xpublic'
This change will be effective on Wednesday February 5th at 11h00 EST.
The associated documentation and downloadable materials will also be
updated at that time:

Chers usagers du datamart du SMC,
Merci aux usagers qui ont commencé à utiliser le service expérimental de
notification AMQP pour accéder au contenu du datamart du SMC. Ce service
expérimental a récemment été annoncé :

Veuillez prendre note que nous devons procéder à un changement technique
mineur dont on n'a pu éviter. Il est nécessaire que les usagers modifie
le script dd_subscribe.py afin d'éviter d'interrompre la réception des
notifications. Veuillez effectuer cette modification au moment précisé
ci-dessous et redémarrer votre client AMQP.
La variable

Dear Datamart users,
Please read about the announcement of an experimental notification
service for Environment Canada's datamart in the attached file.
Summary:
"We are pleased to announce the experimental deployment of a free data
publishing notification service on the MSC Datamart. This experimental
service aims at providing MSC Datamart users with real-time notification
of data updates, enabling them to download datamart content almost as
soon as it becomes available. This is, of course, a common requirement
for users of real-time meteorological data. Notifications will be
provided through the use of the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol
(AMQP). The experiment will run for a year, at which time a decision
will be made on whether to maintain the service on a fully operational
basis."

Veuillez prendre connaissance de l'annonce d'un service expérimental de
notification sur le dépôt de données (datamart) d'Environnement Canada
dans la pièce jointe à ce message.
Sommaire :
"Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer le déploiement expérimental d’un service
gratuit de notification des publications de données sur le datamart du
SMC. Ce service expérimental vise à fournir aux utilisateurs du datamart
du SMC des notifications en temps réel des mises à jour de données, leur
permettant ainsi de télécharger du contenu presque aussitôt qu’il
devient disponible. Ceci est, bien entendu, une exigence fréquemment
exprimée par les utilisateurs de données météorologiques en temps réel.
Les notifications seront transmises par le biais du protocole avancé de
gestion de queues de messages (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol, AMQP).
L’expérience se durera une année, au terme de laquelle une décision sera
prise quant à la poursuite du service sur des bases opérationnelles."
