Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,
Des mises à jour des produits CAP-XML ont été mises en œuvre le *7 mars
*et le*19 avril* *2017*, d'autres suivront le *15 mai* *2017 *et le*14
juin 2017* /(dates provisoires)/.
Ces mises à jour consistent essentiellement en des corrections suite à
des problèmes rapportés par les usagers de ces produits, depuis leur
lancement le 7 juillet 2016.

Updates of the CAP-XML products were implemented on *March 7th* and
*April 19th* *2017*, other ones will take place on *May, 15th* *2017*
and *June, 14th* 2017/(tentative dates)/.
These updated releases address some reported bugs and issues with the
release of their new CAP service that began on July 7, 2016.

Migration vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique / Migration towards a new high-performance computing infrastructure

Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,
Dans le but d'améliorer continuellement nos services en matière de
prévisions météorologiques et environnementales, Environnement et
changement climatique Canada, en collaboration avec Services Partagés
Canada, migrera vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique
le *mardi 15 août 2017*, à partir des passes de modèles de 12 UTC.
En terme de capacité de calcul haute performance, nous atteindrons
l’échelle du pétaflop (un million gigaflop), nous rendant comparables à
d’autres grands centres météorologiques dans le monde.
Bien que nous n’anticipions pas de problème technique majeur, nous
invitons nos usagers à nous signaler tout enjeu potentiel suite à cette
migration, via l'adresse ec.dps-client.ec(a)canada.ca. Un grand merci pour
votre habituelle collaboration bien appréciée.

In order to provide continually improved weather and environmental
prediction services, Environment and Climate Change Canada, in
collaboration with Shared Services Canada, will be switching to a new
high-performance computing infrastructure as of *Tuesday, August 15**^th
**2017*, beginning with the 12 UTC model runs.
In terms of computing capacity, we will reach the important petaflop
scale (1 million gigaflops), which will put us on par with other
international weather centres.
Although we do not expect any major issues, if you notice any issue with

Mise à jour des données SPENA reportée / NAEFS data update posponed

concernant les changements associés aux données SPENA (renommage des
noms de fichiers, retrait des données à 1 degré de résolution,
augmentation de la fréquence temporelle):

Interruption du radar de Radisson / Discontinuance of the Radisson radar

Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,
Pour votre information, *le radar de Radisson (**Saskatoon) sera hors
service à partir du 15 ou du 16 octobre 2017*.
Afin de minimiser cette interruption de service, un *produit de
remplacement*, basé sur le produit PRECIPET et composé des données de
tous les radars avoisinants canadiens (jusqu’à 6 radars), sera disponible.
Par conséquent, à partir de cette date, les images GIF disponibles sur
le Datamart du SMC à l'adresse ci-dessous seront générées à partir de ce
produit de remplacement:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/radar/PRECIPET/GIF/XRA/
Par ailleurs, veuillez noter que les produits "24_HR_ACCUM"
(accumulation de précipitation en mm tel qu'observée par le radar au
cours des 24 dernières heures) et "CAPPI" ne seront pas disponibles pour
ce produit de contingence.
Nous vous tiendrons informés du retour en service de ces données radar
dès que nous aurons plus de détails.

Dear MSC Datamart users,
For your information, the *Radisson radar (**Saskatoon) will be down as
of October 15th or October 16th, 2017.*
To minimize the interruption in service, a *contingency composite
product*, based on the PRECIPET product will be available. It will
incorporate radar data from all neighboring Canadian radars (up to 6 of
them).
Consequently, starting from this date, the GIF images available on the
MSC Datamart at the address below will be generated from the contingency
product:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/radar/PRECIPET/GIF/XRA/
On the other hand, please note that the products "24_HR_ACCUM" product
(rain accumulation, in mm, over the last 24 hr period) and "CAPPI" will
not be available for this contingency product.
We will advise you when the radar data are once again available.
