Des mises à jour des produits CAP-XML ont été mises en œuvre le *7 mars
*et le*19 avril* *2017*, d'autres suivront le *15 mai* *2017 *et le*14
juin 2017* /(dates provisoires)/.
Ces mises à jour consistent essentiellement en des corrections suite à
des problèmes rapportés par les usagers de ces produits, depuis leur
lancement le 7 juillet 2016.

Updates of the CAP-XML products were implemented on *March 7th* and
*April 19th* *2017*, other ones will take place on *May, 15th* *2017*
and *June, 14th* 2017/(tentative dates)/.
These updated releases address some reported bugs and issues with the
release of their new CAP service that began on July 7, 2016.

Migration vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique / Migration towards a new high-performance computing infrastructure

Dans le but d'améliorer continuellement nos services en matière de
prévisions météorologiques et environnementales, Environnement et
changement climatique Canada, en collaboration avec Services Partagés
Canada, migrera vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique
le *mardi 15 août 2017*, à partir des passes de modèles de 12 UTC.
En terme de capacité de calcul haute performance, nous atteindrons
l’échelle du pétaflop (un million gigaflop), nous rendant comparables à
d’autres grands centres météorologiques dans le monde.
Bien que nous n’anticipions pas de problème technique majeur, nous
invitons nos usagers à nous signaler tout enjeu potentiel suite à cette
migration, via l'adresse ec.dps-client.ec(a)canada.ca. Un grand merci pour
votre habituelle collaboration bien appréciée.

In order to provide continually improved weather and environmental
prediction services, Environment and Climate Change Canada, in
collaboration with Shared Services Canada, will be switching to a new
high-performance computing infrastructure as of *Tuesday, August 15**^th
**2017*, beginning with the 12 UTC model runs.
In terms of computing capacity, we will reach the important petaflop
scale (1 million gigaflops), which will put us on par with other
international weather centres.

Veuillez noter que la *connexion au serveur d'essai du Datamart du SMC,
communément appelé DD-Alpha, sera interrompue du mercredi 21 février
2018 à partir de 14:00 UTC jusqu'au jeudi 22 février 2018, 21:00 UTC.*
Ce temps système est nécessaire afin de remplacer des équipements.
Par conséquent, les données du Système canadien de prévision de
l'Arctique (SCPA) et du Système régional de prévision océan-glace
(SRPOG) ne seront pas disponibles en temps réel aux usagers. Dès le
retour à la normale, les données produites pendant le temps système
seront copiées sur le serveur, aucune donnée ne sera donc perdue.
Nous sommes désolés de ces désagréments et demeurons disponibles pour

Please note that *connection**to the MSC Datamart test data repository,
**commonly referred to as DD-Alpha,**will be interrupted starting from
February 21st 2018, 14:00 UTC to February 22nd 2018, 21:00 UTC*.
This system time is necessary in order to perform necessary hardware
maintenance.
Consequently, the data of the Canadian Arctic Prediction System (CAPS)
and the Regional Ice and Ocean Prediction System (RIOPS) will not be
available in real time. Oncethe situation returnsto normal, the data
produced during the system time will be uploaded to the server, so no
data will be lost.
We apologize for the inconvenience and remain available for any question

Nouveau Système global de prévision déterministe de vagues (SGPDV) / New Global Deterministic Wave Prediction System (GDWPS)

Ceci est une mise à jour de l'annonce envoyée en décembre dernier
concernant des changements à venir dans les données de prévisions de vagues:

C'est avec grand plaisir que je vous annonce la *mise en œuvre
opérationnelle du nouveau **Système global de prévision déterministe de
vagues (SGPDV)**sur le Datamart, depuis le lundi 12 février 2018.*
Les détails sur ce nouveau système sont disponibles dans le guide des
produits du CMC:

Les données à 0.25 degré de résolution se trouvent à l'adresse:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/ocean/global/grib2/
Les sorties sont disponibles jusqu'à 120h, aux heures de 0 à 48 heures
puis aux 3 heures, pour les passes de 00Z et 12Z.

Veuillez noter que par souci de conformité aux standards GRIB de l'OMM,
le paramètre PKPER (période pic des vagues) a été renommé en PWPER. Par
ailleurs, et tel qu'annoncé en décembre dernier, son "/LevelType_leve/l"
passe de TGL_0 à SFC_0.
Par ailleurs, *les nouveaux domaines régionaux à 1km de résolution ne
seront disponibles que dans les semaines à venir. Par conséquent, les
domaines Arctique, Atlantique nord et Pacifique nord, vont demeurer
encore pendant une certaine période. Une annonce sera envoyée avec
plusieurs semaines de préavis pour informer nos usagers de leur retrait.**

This is an update of the announcement sent last December regarding some
upcoming changes to the wave forecast data.

I'm very pleased to announce that the *new Global Deterministic Wave
Prediction System (GDWPS) has been operationally implemented on the
Datamart on February, 12th 2018*.
The details of this new system are available in the CMC Product guide:

The 0.25 degree resolution data can be found at the address:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_wave/ocean/global/grib2/
The outputs are available at 00Z and 12Z, hourly from 00h to 48h , then
3-hourly until 120 hours.

Please, note that in order to conform to the GRIB WMO standards, the
PKPER parameter (peak wave period) has been renamed to PWPER. On the
other hand, and as mentioned in the previous announcement, the PWPER
LevelType_level will change from TGL_0 to SFC_0.
Finally, the *new 1km resolution regional domains will only be available
in several weeks (exact date to come). Consequently, the Arctic, North
Atlantic and North Pacific domains will remain available during this
period. Another announcement will be sent several weeks in advance to
inform users about this decommissioning.**
