Des mises à jour des produits CAP-XML ont été mises en œuvre le *7 mars
*et le*19 avril* *2017*, d'autres suivront le *15 mai* *2017 *et le*14
juin 2017* /(dates provisoires)/.
Ces mises à jour consistent essentiellement en des corrections suite à
des problèmes rapportés par les usagers de ces produits, depuis leur
lancement le 7 juillet 2016.

These updated releases address some reported bugs and issues with the
release of their new CAP service that began on July 7, 2016.

Migration vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique / Migration towards a new high-performance computing infrastructure

Dans le but d'améliorer continuellement nos services en matière de
prévisions météorologiques et environnementales, Environnement et
changement climatique Canada, en collaboration avec Services Partagés
Canada, migrera vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique
le *mardi 15 août 2017*, à partir des passes de modèles de 12 UTC.
En terme de capacité de calcul haute performance, nous atteindrons
l’échelle du pétaflop (un million gigaflop), nous rendant comparables à
d’autres grands centres météorologiques dans le monde.
Bien que nous n’anticipions pas de problème technique majeur, nous
invitons nos usagers à nous signaler tout enjeu potentiel suite à cette

prediction services, Environment and Climate Change Canada, in
collaboration with Shared Services Canada, will be switching to a new
high-performance computing infrastructure as of *Tuesday, August 15**^th

scale (1 million gigaflops), which will put us on par with other

Dans le cadre du projet de renouvellement des radars du SMC, un nouveau
radar Doppler S-band (CASRA), équipé de la technologie de double
polarisation, a été installé à Radisson (Saskatchewan).
Veuillez noter que l’une des améliorations apportées par ces nouveaux
radars est que les produits/données vont être disponibles chaque 6
minutes au lieu de 10 minutes. La couverture Doppler a aussi été
améliorée en allant de 113 km à 240 km.
Les images GIF générées à partir du produit PRECIPET sont disponibles
aux 6 minutes à cette adresse:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/radar/PRECIPET/GIF/CASRA
Veuillez noter que les identifiants des nouveaux radars vont être
changés de 3 lettres à 5 lettres. Par exemple, l’identifiant du radar de
Radisson passe de « XRA » à « CASRA ».

In the context of the MSC radar renewal project, a new dual-polarization
S-band Doppler radar (CASRA) has been installed in Radisson (Saskatchewan).
Please note that one of the improvements related to this new radar is
that the products/data will be available every 6 minutes rather than
every 10 minutes. The Doppler coverage has also been improved from 113
km to 240 km.
The GIF images generated from the PRECIPET product every every 6 minutes
are available at the address:

Please note that the identifiers will be changed from a 3-letter code to
a 5-letter code. For example, the ID of the Radisson radar goes from
"XRA" to "CASRA".

In addition, and to facilitate the transition towards this new product,
derived 10-minute GIF images will also be available in the old directory

Une correction sera apportée à l'encodage des données de vent du système
régional de prévision déterministe (SRPD) couplé au Golfe du
Saint-Laurent, disponibles dans les fichiers de la composante
atmosphérique ayant pour nomenclature:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_gem_regional/coupled/gulf_st-lawrence/grib2/[...
Les données que l'on retrouve dans ces fichiers sont des données de vent
diagnostique à 10m au-dessus du niveau du sol (AGL), or actuellement les
paramètres UGRD et VGRD sont encodés selon le niveau moyen de la mer

Ainsi, *à partir du 22 mai 2018, passe de 12Z, les données de vent
seront donc encodées avec le niveau "**/10 m above ground/**"*. Veuillez
noter que seul l'encodage des paramètres sera mis à jour, les valeurs
des données et la nomenclature des fichiers ne seront pas affectées.
Un exemple de fichier avec correction de l'encodage des paramètres de
vent est attaché à cette annonce pour tester vos applications.

Dear MSC Datamart Users,
A correction will be made to the encoding of wind data from the Regional
Deterministic Forecast System (RDPS) coupled to the Gulf of St.
Lawrence, available in the atmospheric component files with nomenclature:
http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_gem_regional/coupled/gulf_st-lawrence/grib2/[...
The data found in these files are diagnostic wind data at 10m above
ground level (AGL). However, the UGRD and VGRD parameters are currently
encoded according to mean sea level.
Consequently, *from 22 May 2018 12Z, the wind data will be encoded with
the "**/10 m above ground/**" level*. Please note that only the
parameter encoding will be updated; data values and file names will not
be affected.
An sample file with correction of the wind parameter encoding is
attached to this announcement to test your applications.

généré pour le programme national de la Cote air santé (CAS) AQHI a été
ajouté.
Il s'agit du site OATRP (Iqaluit) dans la région Prairies et Nord.
