(English follows) Chers usagers des données ouvertes du SMC, Dans le cadre du projet de renouvellement des radars du SMC (*), un nouveau radar Doppler de bande S, Fort McMurray (CASFM), équipé de la technologie de double polarisation, a été installé en Alberta. C’est le 1er radar de bande S installé cette année, le 26è à être déployé depuis le début du projet mais aussi le 32è radar ajouté à notre réseau canadien comptant 31 radars jusqu’à présent. D’autres radars seront déployés d’ici la fin de l’année, selon le calendrier ci-dessous: https://www.canada.ca/fr/environnement-changement-climatique/services/con... Pour rappel, veuillez noter que l’une des améliorations apportées par ces nouveaux radars est que les produits/données sont disponibles aux 6 minutes au lieu de 10 minutes. La portée des Doppler passe également de 113 km à 240 km. This is the 1st S-band radar installed this year, the 26th to be deployed since the beginning of the project but also the 32nd radar added to our Canadian network of 31 radars to date.
