Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,
Les indices biométéorologiques sont utilisés pour mesurer le niveau
d'inconfort des humains en raison de plusieurs conditions
environnementales. *L'indice climatique thermique universel (UTCI)
regroupe en une seule valeur les effets de la température, de
l'humidité, de la vitesse du vent et des flux de rayonnement à ondes
courtes et longues sur le corps humain à l'extérieur* (voir image en
attaché).
Cet indice figure parmi plus de 10 indices biométéorologiques présentés
dans le document (*) de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé intitulé
"/Heatwaves and Health: Guidance on Warning-System Development/" (2015;
p21). L'UTCI est le résultat d'une collaboration à un projet
international visant à développer un indice thermique accessible
homogénéisé basé sur un modèle thermo-physiologique de pointe.
Il me fait plaisir de vous annoncer que *cet indice fait maintenant
partie des données du Système à haute résolution de prévision
déterministe (SHRPD) à 2.5km (**) depuis le mardi 27 avril 2021, passe
de 12z*, disponibles sur le Datamart du SMC à cette adresse :
https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_hrdps/continental/
En espérant que ce nouveau paramètre vous sera utile dans vos

Dear MSC Datamart Users,
Biometeorological indices are used to measure the level of discomfort of
humans due to several environmental conditions. *The Universal Thermal
Climate Index (UTCI) includes, in one value, the effect of temperature,
humidity, wind speed, and short and longwave radiation fluxes on the
outdoor human body* (see image attached).
This index is reported among more than 10 biometeorological indices
presented in a document (*) from the World Meteorological Organization
titled “/Heatwaves and Health: Guidance on Warning-System Development/”
(2015, p21). The UTCI is the result of an international collaboration
project to develop a homogenized accessible thermal index based on a
state-of-the-art thermo-physiological model.
It’s a great pleasure to inform you that since *Tuesday, April 27, 2021,
12z run, this index is now part of the 2.5km High Resolution
Deterministic Prediction System, HRDPS (**)* data, available on the MSC
Datamart at this address:
