(English follows) Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC, Fin novembre 2021 (date exacte à venir), un nouveau Système global de prévision déterministe d’ondes de tempête (SGPDOT) sera mise en œuvre au sein d’un nouveau cycle d’innovation de nos systèmes opérationnels (plus de détails prochainement). Les données horaires seront disponibles à 00 et 12Z jusqu’à 240 heures, sur une grille globale lat-lon 0.144x0.200 à environ 15km de résolution. Les données, en format NetCDF, seront hébergées sur le Datamart du SMC, à cette adresse : https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_gdsps/15km Les variables disponibles seront la hauteur de la surface de la mer (SSH) et l’onde de tempête (ETAS) qui sera calculée uniquement pour une lisière d’environ 100 km le long des côtes en dehors de la région de 150° à 40° Ouest par 40° à 80° Nord. Veuillez noter que le SGPDOT remplacera le SRPDOT (*) qui sera mis hors service fin mars 2022 (date exacte à confirmer). Nous vous invitons donc à migrer vos applications vers le SGPDOT dès sa mise en œuvre dans les prochaines semaines. La documentation sera aussi mise à jour en conséquence. Hourly data will be available at 00 and 12Z up to 240 hours, on a global lat-lon 0.144x0.200 grid at about 15km resolution. The data, in NetCDF format, will be hosted on the MSC Datamart, at this address https://dd.weather.gc.ca/model_gdsps/15km The available variables will be sea surface height (SSH) and storm surge (ETAS) which will be calculated only for a 100 km edge along the shoreline outside of the region bounded by 150W to 40W and 40N to 80N. Please note that GDSPS will replace RDSPS (*) in March 2022 (exact date to be confirmed), so we encourage you to migrate your applications to GDSPS as soon as it is implemented in the coming weeks, since RDSPS will be removed from MSC Datamart next year.
