(English follows) Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC, Suite à la mise à jour majeure des systèmes de prévision du SMC, annoncée le 17 décembre 2015 (voir note : http://lists.ec.gc.ca/pipermail/dd_info/2015-December/000142.html), nous aimerions vous informer que l'orientation de la grille du SRPD va changer au cours du mois de juin 2016 pour devenir un sous-domaine de la grille Yin-Yang du SGPD récemment implanté, voir : http://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/cmoi/product_guide/docs/changes_f.h... Ce réalignement de grille permettra de réduire l'interpolation au niveau du pilote du SRPD et d'augmenter l'efficacité des processus d'échange entre ces différents systèmes. Toutefois, ceci aura pour conséquence d'engendrer une zone limitée d'absence de données dans les données GRIB du Datamart disponibles ici : http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_gem_regional Les images ci-jointes montrent en magenta ces zones limitées d'absence de donnée dans le coin nord-est des grilles à 15km et à 10km. Conformément à la spécification GRIB2, un masque sera appliqué pour identifier la région en question. Les décodeurs ignoreront alors ces points de grille et la région concernée ne contiendra aucune donnée. Note : les variables de post-traitement du temps violent énergie potentielle de convection disponible (CAPE) et hélicité (HLCY) sont projetées sur une grille plus petite et ne seront donc pas affectées par ce changement de grille. Par contre, les variables indice de Showalter (SHOWA) et indice de soulèvement (4LFTX), calculées en post-traitement sur une grille intermédiaire seront complémentées avec les sorties du modèle global, aucun masque ne sera donc appliqué. Afin d'aider les usagers à se familiariser avec ces nouvelles données et leur faciliter cette transition, nous mettons à leur disposition un échantillon de ces nouvelles données sur le site Web d'essai de données du Datamart: http://dd.alpha.meteo.gc.ca/model_gem_regional/ Un autre avis sera envoyé dès que la date précise de ces changements sera déterminée. This grid realignment will enable a reduction in the amount of interpolation in the piloting of the RDPS and increase the efficiency of process exchanges between both systems. However, in consequence, this update will generate a small no-data zone in the MSC GRIB files available on Datamart here: http://dd.meteo.gc.ca/model_gem_regional The attached images show in magenta the no-data zones in the North-East corner of the 15km and 10km grids. In accordance with the GRIB2 standards, a mask will be applied to identify them. The decoding tools will ignore these grid points and the affected region will contain no data. Note: The post-processed severe weather variables Convective Available Potential Energy (CAPE) and helicity (HLCY) are projected on a smaller grid and will not be affected by this grid change. However, the Showalter Index (SHOWA) and the Lifted Index (4LFTX), which are calculated on an intermediate grid, will be blended with GDPS outputs, hence any no-data mask will be applied. In order to help users familiarize themselves with these new datasets and to facilitate this migration, we are making a sample of these new data available on the MSC Datamart testing website: http://dd.alpha.meteo.gc.ca/model_gem_regional/ Another notification message will be sent once the precise date of these changes is known.
