Au nom de Environnement et changement climatique Canada, j’aimerais vous transmettre mes meilleurs vœux pour un temps des fêtes reposant, chaleureux et en santé auprès de vos proches. L’année 2021 fut encore une fois remplie de défis mais aussi riche en très belles innovations dans nos services (*): · Ajout de plusieurs nouveaux jeux de données : o Système à haute résolution de prévision déterministe sur grille lat-lon tournée (SHRPD) o Système global de prévision déterministe d’ondes de tempête (SGPDOT) o Système régional de prévision d’ensemble d’ondes de tempête (SRPEOT) o Système global de prévision d’ensemble de vague (SGPEV) o Système régional de prévision d’ensemble de vague (SRPEV) o Système régional de prévision d’ensemble à 10km, sur grille lat-lon tournée (SRPE) · Nouvel indice climatique universel (UTCI) dans les données du SHRPD 2.5km · Nouvelle Analyse de glace de mer globale · Mise à jour majeure de l’Analyse régionale déterministe de précipitation (ARDP-CaPA) · Ajout d’observations de réseaux de partenaires, ajout de nouvelles bouées marines · Nouvelles images radar DPQPE à double polarisation · Déploiement de 6 nouveaux radars Doppler de bande S · Ajout de produits d’astronomie basés sur le Système régional de prévision déterministe (SRPD) · Extension au jour 3 de la Côte Air Santé (CAS) · Mise à jour de notre documentation publique · Livraisons majeures de nos services web géospatiaux (**) Et plus récemment, une mise à jour historique de nos services opérationnels (***) avec l’implantation de plus de 170 innovations à l’intérieur d’une trentaine de nos systèmes de prévisions atmosphériques, océaniques, hydrologiques et de surface, le tout entièrement en télétravail compte-tenu de la situation sanitaire. Finalement, une série de webinaires « Usagers du Datamart et de GeoMet du SMC, parlez-nous de vous » a été organisée cet automne afin de mieux connaitre nos usagers et leurs besoins. The year 2021 was once again full of challenges but also rich in great innovations in our services (*): · Addition of several new datasets : o Rotated lat-lon High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System (HRDPS) o Global Deterministic Storm Surge Prediction System (GDSPS) o Regional Ensemble Storm Surge Prediction System (RESPS) o Global Ensemble Wave Prediction System (GEWPS) o Regional Ensemble Wave Prediction System (REWPS) o Rotated lat-lon 10km Regional Ensemble Prediction System (REPS) · New Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) in HRDPS 2.5km data · New Global Sea Ice Analysis · Major update of the Regional Deterministic Precipitation Analysis (RDPA-CaPA) · Addition of partners network observations, addition of new marine buoys · New dual polarization DPQPE radar images · Deployment of 6 new S-band Doppler radars · Addition of astronomy products based on the Regional Deterministic Prediction System (RDPS) · Expansion to Day 3 of the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) · Update of our public documentation · Major releases of our geospatial web services (**) And more recently, a historic update of our operational services (*** ) with the implementation of more than 170 innovations within some 30 of our atmospheric, oceanic, hydrologic and surface forecasting systems, all entirely in teleworking considering the pandemic situation. Finally, a series of webinars "MSC Datamart and GeoMet users, tell us about yourselves" was organized this fall to better understand our users and their needs.
