[Nouveau]: Système régional de prévision océan-glace (SRPOG) / [New]: Regional Ice and Ocean Prediction System (RIOPS)

Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,
Environnement et Changement climatique Canada rendra disponibles sur le
Datamart du SMC, les données de son *Système régional de prévision
océan-glace (SRPOG)*, en format NetCDF, *dès le* *mardi 10 novembre
2020*, passe de 12Z.

Pour rappel, des données sur le même domaine que le SRPOG sont aussi
disponibles sur le serveur d'essai du Datamart du SMC (DD-Alpha), dans
le cadre du projet YOPP (The Year of Polar Projection), depuis janvier
2018 (*), mais en mode couplé avec le Système canadien de prévision de
l'Arctique (SCPA). Voir :

Contrairement à cette version sur DD-Alpha, *le SRPOG sur le Datamart du
SMC sera disponible en mode "prévision" forcé (i.e., non couplé)* pour
chacune des heures synoptiques 00, 06, 12 et 18Z avec une période de
rétention de 48 heures. Aussi les données seront disponibles aux heures
et non moyennées sur une période de 3 heures comme c’est le cas dans la
version sur DD-Alpha.
Ce tableau résume les principales différences entre les données à venir
sur le Datamart du SMC dès le 10 novembre et celles actuellement
disponibles sur DD-Alpha :

Comme certains d’entre vous avez pu le constater, on peut trouver
actuellement des données du SRPOG sur le Datamart du SMC (**) mais
celles-ci correspondent erronément aux données couplées avec le SCPA et
n’ont d’ailleurs jamais été annoncées. Ces données seront remplacées dès
le 10 novembre par le nouveau jeu de données mentionné plus haut, et
pour lesquelles un échantillon est disponible dès maintenant sur le
serveur d'essai du Datamart du SMC, à cette adresse :

Dear MSC Datamart Users,
I'm pleased to inform you that, starting *from November 10th 2020*, 12Z
numerical data from Environment and Climate Change Canada's *Regional
Ice Ocean Prediction System (RIOPS)* will be available on the MSC
Datamart in NetCDF format.

As a reminder, data on the same domain as RIOPS are also available on
the MSC Datamart testing data repository(DD-Alpha), as part of the YOPP
(The Year of Polar Projection) project, since January 2018 (*), but in
coupled mode with the Canadian Arctic Prediction System (CAPS). See:

Unlike this version on DD-Alpha, the *RIOPS on the MSC Datamart will be
available in forced (i.e., not coupled) "forecast" mode* for each of the
synoptic hours 00, 06, 12 and 18Z with a retention period of 48
hours.Also,data will be available hourlyrather thanaveraged over a
period of 3 hours as is the case in the version on DD-Alpha.

As some of you may have noticed, we can currently find RIOPS data on the
MSC Datamart (**) but these data correspond erroneously to CAPS and have
never been announced. This data will be replaced on November 10th by the
new data set mentioned above, for which a sample is available on the MSC
Datamart testing data repository at this address:

[A VENIR]: Coupure de connexion sur DD-Alpha / [TO COME]: DD-Alpha connection interruption

Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC,
Pour votre information, *le site Web d'essai de données du Datamart du
SMC**,**DD-Alpha****(*),****sera migré vers un nouveau serveur le**14
octobre 2020*. Par conséquent, au cours du temps système planifiée *de
12:00UTC* *à 1**6**:**0**0UTC**, la connexion vers DD-Alpha sera
interrompue*, dans le meilleur des cas, cette interruption ne sera que
de 10 minutes.
Toutes les données surDD-Alpha, en particulier les données
expérimentales dans le cadre de l’année de la prévision polaire YOPP,
soit les données du SRPOG (**) et du SCPA (***) ainsi que les données
expérimentales du SHRPD 1km(****) seront par la suite disponibles dans
leur intégralité.
Nous sommes désoles des inconvénients que cette mise à jourpourrait vous
occasionner.

Dear MSC Datamart users,
For your information, the *MSC testing data repository DD-Alpha* *(*),
will be migrated to a new server on* *October 14, 2020*. Therefore,
during the planned system time *from 12:00UTC to 16:00UTC, the
connection to DD-Alpha will be interrupted*, in the best case, this
interruption will only be for 10 minutes.
All the data on DD-Alpha, especially the experimental data in support of
the Year of Polar Prediction YOPP, i.e. RIOPS (**) and CAPS (***) data
as well as the experimental HRDPS 1km (****) data will be available in
their entirety afterwards.
We apologize for any inconvenience this update may cause.
