(English follows) Chers usagers des données ouvertes du SMC, Fin juin 2026 (date exacte à venir), une nouvelle méthode pour calculer les vents statistiquement post-traités du Système régional de prévision déterministe (SRPD)<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_rdps/readme_rdps_fr/>, via le système PROGNOS<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_rdps/readme_rdps-statpo...>, sera implantée. Ce changement est motivé par un enjeu de performance des vents, actuellement générés via la méthode LASSO<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lasso_(statistics)>, lors d'épisodes de vents modérés à forts. L'approche LightGBM<https://proceedings.neurips.cc/paper_files/paper/2017/file/6449f44a102fde...> s'est avérée être la plus prometteuse pour remédier à ce problème de sous-performance, tout en offrant des performances adéquates pour les autres catégories de vitesse du vent. Une conséquence directe de cette mise à jour est un changement dans les noms de fichiers des données de vent post-traités statistiquement à partir des données du SRPD disponibles à cette adresse : https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/today/model_rdps/stat-post-processing/ Ainsi, les fichiers : {YYYYMMDD}T{HH}Z_MSC_RDPS-PROGNOS-LASSO_WindSpeed_AGL-10m_PT{hhh}H.json seront remplacés par: {YYYYMMDD}T{HH}Z_MSC_RDPS-PROGNOS-LightGBM_WindSpeed_AGL-10m_PT{hhh}H.json La documentation<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_rdps/readme_rdps-statpo...> sera mise à jour en conséquence. This change is driven by a performance issue with wind data, currently generated using the LASSO<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lasso_(statistics)> method, during episodes of moderate to strong winds. The LightGBM<https://proceedings.neurips.cc/paper_files/paper/2017/file/6449f44a102fde...> approach has proven to be the most promising for addressing this underperformance issue, while still delivering adequate performance for other wind speed categories. (English follows) Chers usagers du Datamart du SMC, C’est avec plaisir que je vous annonce l’ajout des données météorologiques à l’aviation en format IWXXM sur le Datamart du SMC à cette adresse : https://dd.meteo.gc.ca/today/aviation/iwxxm/ Ces données contiennent des bulletins spécialisés à l’aviation (AIRMET, SIGMET, TAF) dans un modèle d'échange d'informations météorologiques de l'Organisation de l'Aviation Civile Internationale (OACI)<https://www.icao.int/fr>, devenu une norme depuis novembre 2020 et permettant aux États d'échanger leurs données OPMET (Operational Meteorology) non seulement sous forme de TAC (code alphanumérique traditionnel) mais aussi en langage de balisage extensible (XML) et plus précisément en langage de balisage géographique (GML). Chaque message IWXXM contient tous les composants qui décrivent complètement le produit.
