Les éléments du temps sur grille<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps-datama...> basés sur ce nouveau système vont demeurer expérimentaux et disponibles sur DD-Alpha, le site web d’essai du Datamart du SMC, mais nous allons profiter de cette occasion pour apporter cette même journée, un changement à la nomenclature de ces données afin de se rendre conformes aux normes de standardisation des fichiers du Datamart du SMC. Un échantillon est d’ores et déjà disponible à l’adresse ci-dessous afin de permettre à nos usagers de tester et adapter leurs applications : https://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/CMOI/Datamart/GRIB2/GDPS_SN/WEonG/ Par ailleurs, les données seront déménagées sur DD-Alpha, à cette adresse, similaire à l’adresse des données du SGPD sur le Datamart du SMC : https://dd.alpha.meteo.gc.ca/model_gdps<https://dd.alpha.meteo.gc.ca/> La documentation sera mise à jour en conséquence. The weather elements on the grid (WEonG)<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps-datama...> based on this new system will remain experimental and available on DD-Alpha, the MSC Datamart testing website, but we will take this opportunity to update the nomenclature of these data, on the same day, to comply with the standardization norms for MSC Datamart files. Migration vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique // Migration towards a new high-performance computing infrastructure

(English follows) Chers usagers des données ouvertes du SMC, Dans le but d'améliorer continuellement nos services en matière de prévisions météorologiques et environnementales, Environnement et changement climatique Canada, en collaboration avec Services Partagés Canada, migrera vers une nouvelle infrastructure de super-informatique le mardi 14 avril 2026, à partir de 12 UTC. Cette nouvelle solution de calcul à haute-performance se distingue notamment par une augmentation significative de la capacité GPU afin de soutenir le développement des approches innovatives basées sur l’intelligence artificielle. Aussi, elle se caractérise par une optimisation de la croissance des ressources CPU et de stockage, afin d’améliorer des performances par un facteur d’environ 1,7 fois par rapport à l’infrastructure précédente. De telles mises à niveau sont essentielles afin de fournir une amélioration continue des services de prévisions numériques du temps et de l’environnement à la population canadienne, aux agences gouvernementales et autres partenaires. This new high-performance computing solution stands out particularly for its significantly increased GPU capacity to support the development of innovative approaches based on artificial intelligence. It also features optimized scaling of CPU and storage resources, improving performance by a factor of approximately 1.7 compared to the previous infrastructure. Such upgrades are essential to ensure the continuous improvement of numerical weather and environmental forecasting services for the Canadian public, government agencies, and other partners. Cette nouvelle version, entrainant un gain de prévisibilité d'environ une demi-journée au jour 7, va donc remplacer la version opérationnelle actuelle du SGPD<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps_fr/#do...> et devenir la source des produits dérivés disponibles dans notre offre de données ouvertes, soit le post-traitement statistique, les éléments du temps sur grille et l'analyse de glace globale. This new version, which will improve predictability by about half a day on day 7, will therefore replace the current version of the operational GDPS<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps_en/#da...> and become the source of the derivative products available in our open data offering, namely statistical post-processing, grid weather elements, and global ice analysis.
