(English follows) Chers usagers des données ouvertes du SMC, Dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre opérationnelle de la nouvelle version du Système global de prévision déterministe (SGPD)<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps_fr/#donnees-du-systeme-global-de-prevision-deterministe-experimental> planifiée autour de la fin mai 2026 (date exacte à confirmer), nous sommes contraints, pour des raisons techniques, de suspendre temporairement, et ceci dès le mardi 28 avril, la dissémination des données du modèle GEML (Global Environnemental éMuLateur) expérimental<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps-geml-datamart_fr/>, basé sur l’intelligence artificielle qui pilote cette nouvelle version du SGPD. Ce bri de service résulte d’une mise à jour récente de ce modèle de pilotage spectral des grandes ondes dans l’atmosphère moyenne qui permet d’améliorer encore la performance du SGPD-IA, à moyen-long terme (poids réentraînés avec nos propres analyses). Nous anticipons distribuer à nouveau ces données, utiles à des fins de comparaisons de performances des modèles météo IA, au moment où le SGPD-IA deviendra opérationnel, ce modèle GEML devenant également opérationnel. Sandrine ========================= Dear MSC Open Data users, As part of the operational implementation of the new version of the Global Deterministic Prediction System (GDPS)<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps_en/#data-of-the-experimental-global-deterministic-prediction-system> scheduled for the end of May 2026 (exact date to be confirmed), we are forced, for technical reasons, to temporarily suspend, effective Tuesday, April 28, the dissemination of the experimental Global Environmental Emulator (GEML)<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/nwp_gdps/readme_gdps-geml-datamart_en/> data, which is based on the artificial intelligence driving this new version of the GDPS. This service interruption results from a recent update to this spectral modeling of large-scale waves in the middle atmosphere, which will further improve the performance of the GDPS-AI in the medium to long term (weights retrained using our own analyses). We plan to resume distributing this data, which is useful for comparing the performance of AI weather models, once the GDPS-AI becomes operational, as the GEML model will also become operational at that time.
