(English follows) Chers usagers des données ouvertes du SMC, A compter du 6 octobre 2026, Environnement et changement Climatique Canada apportera des modifications importantes au produit XML de prévisions météorologiques officielles par ville<https://eccc-msc.github.io/open-data/msc-data/citypage-weather/readme_citypageweather_fr/> afin de l'harmoniser avec les normes de dénomination et de géoréférencement de Ressources naturelles Canada (RNCan). Cette mise à jour permettra d’améliorer la cohérence entre l’application MétéoCan<https://www.canada.ca/fr/environnement-changement-climatique/services/conditions-meteorologiques-ressources-outils-generaux/meteocan.html>, le site web meteo.gc.ca<https://meteo.gc.ca/> et les données citypage_weather disponibles sur nos plateformes de données ouvertes du SMC, tout en corrigeant des problèmes d’alerte<https://comm.collab.science.gc.ca/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/dd_info@comm.collab.science.gc.ca/message/G4JG3EL2AJFLLAUKZ2SEXW3KZBCDVOSA/> précédemment identifiées. Voici la liste des principaux changements à venir : * Mise à jour des coordonnées géographiques (latitude et longitude) pour la majorité des sites; certains ajustements seront mineurs, tandis que d'autres seront plus importants. * Retrait de certains sites (codes XML) et ajout d'emplacements de remplacement, comme indiqué dans les tableaux ci-dessous. * Déplacement de certains sites vers des emplacements à proximité, généralement situés à moins de 5 km de leur emplacement actuel. * Harmonisation des noms d'emplacement avec la base de données de RNCan. These changes will improve consistency between WeatherCAN<https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/weather-general-tools-resources/weathercan.html>, the web site weather.gc.ca<https://weather.gc.ca/index_e.html> and our MSC open data platforms, while also resolving previously identified alerting issues<https://comm.collab.science.gc.ca/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/dd_info@comm.collab.science.gc.ca/message/G4JG3EL2AJFLLAUKZ2SEXW3KZBCDVOSA/>. Here is the list of the main changes to come: * Updated latitude and longitude coordinates for most locations, with changes ranging from minor adjustments to significant relocations. * Retirement of select XML location codes and introduction of replacement locations, as listed below. * Relocation of certain XML codes to nearby locations, typically within 5 km of their current coordinates. * Standardization of location name spellings to align with the NRCan database.
